One of the most rewarding parts of my job is getting feedback from happy customers when they get back from the itineraries my team and I have put together for them. When it comes to disabled access, doxycycline pharmacy, holidays in Cyprus tend to provide less mobile visitors with a smooth and stress-free experience. And Can Be Done can make them happen for you.
Trying to fit the right holiday to the right person is something we take very seriously. And for those looking for anything from culture and history to action-packed fun in the sun, Cyprus never seems to disappoint.
Here are some of the top excursions we’ve organised for Can Be Done clients in Cyprus in the past, all of which we’ve had excellent feedback about when they’ve returned.
Tours Around Paphos
Paphos is always a favourite with clients because of the mix of accessible activities we can arrange for them in this historic port. From tours around the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kato Paphos Archaeological Park – with its ancient mosaics and Roman architecture – to a visit to one of the 12 blue flag beaches with wheelchair access, we can organise a fantastic trip for visitors of all abilities to this ancient port.
As one of my favourite spots, I also always recommend clients to take a little extra time to visit Geroskipou, a small coastal town outside Paphos, which serves (in my opinion) some of the best loukoumia on the island.
Bringing Greek Mythology Back to Life
According to Greek mythology, Cyprus was the birthplace of the goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite. Legend has it that she was born in the waters of Paphos and, as a result, the island became the centre point of the Cult of Aphrodite.
For Can Be Done clients interested in Greek mythology we have created a hugely popular accessible tour which tracks the goddess’s life and influences on the island. Guests have told us that they found it fascinating to visit her supposed birthplace at Aphrodite’s Rock and then to see the ruins of the Temple of Aphrodite, with its ancient villas, mosaics, tombs and palaces.
Traditional Cypriot Villages
Clients tell us that, on the tours we’ve organised for them, they’ve been very impressed that even the smallest villages offer disabled access. Holidays to Cyprus wouldn’t be complete without a look around the traditional villages of Kakopetria, Lefkara and Omodos. Each of these villages offers its own local delicacy, from wine and lace to Turkish Delight and, of course, excellent cuisine.
One phone call I will never forget was from a young man who asked us to organise parasailing for him on his holiday to Cyprus. We use an instructor who offers an accessible experience for wheelchair users and those with other mobility issues, who was more than happy to take him out. The client I spoke to said the experience had made his holiday and he couldn’t wait to book again for the following year!
So whether you are looking for adrenaline-pumping disabled access holidays or something more sedate, we’ll help you discover that Cyprus has plenty to offer. Give us a call and we’ll put together a perfect accessible holiday just for you.
