This latest invention may look like a bit of gimmick, but it could prove invaluable to travellers with visual impairment or with mobility problems. A tech company has created a prototype of a suitcase which is linked to its user by a smartphone app, and which will follow their owner obediently through busy areas such as airport terminals and train stations. The suitcase will be able to avoid moving obstacles and even has a built-in theft prevention alarm. The owners are hoping to have their futuristic luggage in the shops by the end of 2016.
