While the idea of planning a trip to an unknown destination may be daunting for many travellers with disabilities, there are some who have embraced the challenges and have been determined to experience everything the world has to offer, despite the many obstacles presented. Srin Madiplalli, an avid traveller who suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), recently wrote a blog post in the Disability http://healthsavy.com/product/flagyl/ section of the BBC News website about his travel adventures (and misadventures) with his friend Martyn Sibley, who also has SMA. The post is well worth a read, and offers a fascinating perspective of how these two intrepid travellers haven’t lost their wanderlust, despite the challenges they face on the road.
